Zuccotti Park has transformed into a village ever since Occupy Wall Street protestors took to the downtown Manhattan park on Sept. 17. Different “departments” take up different spots in the park. For some protestors, the goal is to create a self-sustaining community for everyone to stay there while they voice their displeasure. As political blogger Jesse LaGreca said, “Protestors who stay in the park are ensured their basic needs will be fulfilled.”
